New Kids On The Block tour moves to BB&T Center
No need to worry. New Kids On The Block is still bringing “The Mixtape Tour” to South Florida. But the venue has changed for the concert that will also include Salt-N-Pepa, Tiffany, Debbie Gibson and Naughty By Nature.
Now when these pop stars take the stage July 14, 2019, it will be at the BB&T Center in Sunrise instead of the Hard Rock Event Center.
Even though the show is next summer, tickets are on sale now. Prices range from $45 to $165. There are various VIP packages (including some with a NKOTB photo op and a meet-and-greet) t hat cost between $253-$575. You can order t i ckets by calling 800-745-3000 or going to TheBBTCenter.com.
According to a press release from the BB&T Center, the arena change is “Due to over- whelming fan demand for tickets.” Hard Rock Event Center seats 3,500 while the BB&T can seat more than 20,000 (depending on the configuration).
NKOTB and all of their tour mates sharing the bill have released a single titled “80s Baby” to boost the buzz for “The Mixtape Tour.” The track features ‘80s song references with all the other acts taking a few verses.
-- NKOTB’s hits include “I’ll Be Loving You (Forever),” “Cover Girl,” "You Got It (The Right Stuff ),” “Hangin’ Tough” and “Step By Step.”
Naughty By Nature’s anthems include “OPP,” “Hip Hop Hooray” and “Jamboree.”
Debbie Gibson’s songbook includes “Only in My Dreams,” “Shake Your Love,” “Out of the Blue,” “Foolish Beat” and “Lost in Your Eyes.”
Salt-N-Pepa’s chart toppers include “Push It,” “Shoop” and “Whatta Man.”
