Palm Beach Opera’s “Ari­adne auf Naxo”

Sung in Ger­man with English su­per­ti­tles pro­jected above the stage, this Strauss opera-within-an-opera will be pro­duced by Palm Beach Opera with a spe­cial guest. An­thony Laciura, from HBO’s “Board­walk Em­pire,” will play the role of the Ma­jor­domo, who sparks the ac­tion by in­sist­ing that both the se­ri­ous opera and the com­edy troupe will have to per­form si­mul­ta­ne­ously at a Vi­enna party in or­der for the sched­uled fire­works dis­play to go off at the ap­pointed time.
