Hialeah Park Rac­ing and Casino (2200 E. Fourth Ave., HialeahPark. com, 305-885-8000) now has free out­door con­certs on Satur­day nights at its Foun­tain Ter­race. The se­ries of Latin-mu­sic shows kicked off last week­end with a per­for­mance by famed per­cus­sion­ist Jose Fa­jardo Jr. and his or­ches­tra.

On Satur­day, Elec­tric Pi­quete will per­form. Band mem­ber Michael Mut writes in an email that the band is “best known for its fiery orig­i­nals and in­ven­tive in­ter­pre­ta­tions of Latin and jazz stan­dards. A pow­er­fully tight drums/ bass/gui­tar/keys/ con­gas rhythm sec­tion sets the groove for an in­cen­di­ary horn sec­tion, tak­ing lis­ten­ers on an Afro- Caribbean jour­ney of sound.”

Con­certs be­gin at 9 p.m. and are open to all ages, al­though peo­ple must be at least 21 if they want to en­ter the casino. An hour ear­lier, en­ter­tain­ers DJ El Russo and Adrian Mesa will start warm­ing up the crowd.
