‘Crys­tal Splen­dor’ gala hon­ors Broward County no­ta­bles

The Lead­er­ship Broward Foun­da­tion will honor five Broward County lead­ers at “Crys­tal Splen­dor,” Sig­na­ture Grand’s 2012 “Pro­files in Lead­er­ship Gala” pre­sented by Holy Cross Hospi­tal. The event will take place from 6 to 11 p.m. on Oct. 13 at Sig­na­ture Grand in Davie.

Hon­orees in­clude: Ann Marie Fox-Man­cuso and the late Richard Man­cuso of the Richard J. Fox Foun­da­tion; Nicki Gross­man of the Greater Fort Laud­erdale Con­ven­tion & Visi­tor’s Bureau; Phil Smith of Phil Smith Au­to­mo­tive Group; Ger­maine Smith-Baugh of the Ur­ban League Broward County; and Scott Verner ofNipro Di­ag­nos­tics. The event is co-chaired by Pat Castillo, Jeff Cato and Laura Tar­vainen.

“We’re ex­cited to cel­e­brate the achieve­ments of our hon­orees and the pro­found im­pact they’ve had on our county,” said Cato. “We’ve cre­ated a very spe­cial ex­pe­ri­ence for them— and for all of our guests— and we look for­ward to an el­e­gant ‘crys­tal’ evening.”

The open­ing act of the evening will fea­ture a dance per­for­mance by cos­tumed per­form­ers. A din­ner, silent and live auc­tions, trib­ute to the hon­orees and danc­ing will round out the black-tie-op­tional af­fair.

“We cre­ate this lovely am­biance each year thanks to the sup­port of all of our Lead­er­ship Broward Foun­da­tion sup­port­ers and our gen­er­ous gala spon­sors,” said Foun­da­tion CEO, Terri L. Wal­lace.

Lead­er­ship Broward Foun­da­tion is a lead­er­ship de­vel­op­ment train­ing or­ga­ni­za­tion with a 30-year his­tory of pre­par­ing and con­nect­ing lead­ers fromthe busi­ness and civic com­mu­ni­ties to strengthen Florida’s fu­ture.
