Taking center stage: The Hypoglycemia Support Foundation’s gala
An estimated 80 million Americans have hypoglycemia, and some live without a diagnosis.
The Hypoglycemia Support Foundation’s mission is to be a leader in providing support, advocacy and information about the causes, prevention and management of functional Hypoglycemia, also known as low blood sugar.
The Hypoglycemia Support Foundation Inc. (HSF), founded by Roberta Ruggiero is celebrating its 33rd year at its third annual “Hypoglycemia Takes Center Stage Gala” Casino Royale themed fundraiser. It will take place at Hyatt Regency Pier Sixty-Six in Fort Lauderdale on Oct. 19 at 7 p.m.
HSF will recognize and honor philanthropic men and women for their outstanding dedication, benevolence and commitment to making a difference in our community. The evening will begin with a cocktail reception, silent auction and tribute ceremony. Dinner, dancing, roulette, blackjack and more produced by Events by Vento Designs will follow.
Event co-chairs Dale Ledbetter and Christina Rosario add to the roster of committed honorees. Ruggiero will present the HSF’s first Committed to Excellence Award to Marc M. Kesselman and Robin Kesselman, co-founders of The Nerdel Co.
The master of ceremonies, Trina Robinson, will help ensure that the night lives up to the HSF’S mission statement of continuing to be the world-renowned leader in disseminating information and offering encouragement and hope to those suffering from Hypoglycemia – a complicated and, too often, misunderstood condition. Tickets for the gala are $150. For more information, call 954-742-7104, email Roberta at firstname.lastname@example.org or visit www.hypoglycemia.org.
