Plantation rolled out the “pink” carpet to formally welcome Susan G. Komen Miami/Fort Lauderdale on its recent move to the city.

Dignitaries, breast cancer survivors and supporters joined Komen board members and staff at the grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new offices on South University Drive near Peters Road.

“We are thrilled to call Plantation our home, and appreciate the warm welcome we’ve received from city officials, the Greater Plantation Chamber of Commerce and local businesses,” said Cathy McCarthy, affiliate executive director. “We look forward to becoming part of the community.”
