Five fam­i­lies ac­cepted keys to their new homes dur­ing Habi­tat for Hu­man­ity of Broward’s “Women Build” ded­i­ca­tion.

The Co­radin fam­ily, Dor­sainville fam­ily, Roundtree fam­ily, Snipes fam­ily and Ver­gara fam­ily were able to tour their new res­i­dences lo­cated at 1230 NW 62nd Ave.

Rep­re­sen­ta­tives from the five spon­sors of this year’s “Women Build” — Jack Boyle (the Boyle fam­ily); Rick Case Au­to­mo­tive Group; Sur­faceLogix; City Fur­ni­ture and Sig­na­ture Grand — at­tended the event.

Ad­di­tion­ally, WSVN-TV and Semi­nole Hard Rock Ho­tel & Casino Hol­ly­wood were rec­og­nized for their sup­port of the “Women Build.”

Dur­ing the event, Spirit Air­lines, which han­dled land­scap­ing chores at the site with its em­ploy­ees, pre­sented a $10,000 check to Habi­tat for Hu­man­ity of Broward.

The 2015 “Women Build” at­tracted some 500 women who vol­un­teered their time over a four-month pe­riod to help build the five new homes in Sun­rise. Since its in­cep­tion, “Women Build” has now helped con­struct 61 homes in Broward County.
