Habitat for Humanity of Broward
Five families accepted keys to their new homes during Habitat for Humanity of Broward’s “Women Build” dedication.
The Coradin family, Dorsainville family, Roundtree family, Snipes family and Vergara family were able to tour their new residences located at 1230 NW 62nd Ave.
Representatives from the five sponsors of this year’s “Women Build” — Jack Boyle (the Boyle family); Rick Case Automotive Group; SurfaceLogix; City Furniture and Signature Grand — attended the event.
Additionally, WSVN-TV and Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood were recognized for their support of the “Women Build.”
During the event, Spirit Airlines, which handled landscaping chores at the site with its employees, presented a $10,000 check to Habitat for Humanity of Broward.
The 2015 “Women Build” attracted some 500 women who volunteered their time over a four-month period to help build the five new homes in Sunrise. Since its inception, “Women Build” has now helped construct 61 homes in Broward County.
