Inspirational evening ‘Hope & Home Gala’ celebrates One Village, One Family, One Love
SOS Children’s Villages - Florida is celebrating One Village, One Family, One Love at the 19th annual “Hope & Home Gala.”
The event will take place at 7 p.m. April 30 at Boca West Country Club, 20583 Boca West Drive.
This year’s theme reflects the children, house parents, staff, volunteers and supporters who come together to create the unique village that is home to 70 foster children.
“The Village is a place where people in our community make you feel safe, treat you as their family and, most of all, show a tremendous amount of love for the children,” said Sharon Dutkiewicz, gala chair. “So, it was an easy choice for this year’s theme. We are truly ‘One Village, One Family, One Love.’”
The “Hope & Home Gala” will be an inspirational evening with food and drinks, live and silent auctions, entertainment and live music.
The grand affair raises funds each year to support the everyday life and needs of the boys and girls in the Village. Just as important, the funds help provide the kids at SOS with childhood activities and experiences that help them learn, grow and create happy memories.
This year’s gala supports a pivotal childhood experience by giving guests the opportunity to sponsor sending a foster child to summer camp. For the foster kids at SOS, camp is more than having a place to go to have fun during the summer. Camp helps them build confidence and courage while trying new things. It helps them learn new skills and discover who they are. Most importantly, camp is the chance for kids to build new and lasting friendships.
Tickets are $250. For information, call 954-794-0150 or visit www.hopeandhomegala.org.
