United Way of Broward County
More than 100 members of United Way of Broward County’s Tocqueville Society and guests were on-hand as philanthropists Winifred and Joseph Amaturo were presented with the 2016 Tocqueville Society Award.
The Amaturos are committed to Broward County, making the community a better place and generously supporting charitable organizations across South Florida. They have been United Way supporters for more than 20 years.
United Way of Broward County’s Tocqueville Society was founded in 1990 by community leaders Bob Elmore; Wayne and Marti Huizenga; Bob and Millicent Steele; and William and Norma Horvitz. The Tocqueville Society represents the collective caring power of more than 145 families who invest $10,000 or more per year in United Way of Broward County.
