Character education initiative helps provide a strong foundation
Broward County Public Schools is once again proud to partner with the Sun Sentinel in its 15th year of celebrating students who demonstrate exemplary character traits. The Kids of Character program has become a guide for helping the young people we serve develop core values.
BCPS is a proud leader in character education, which is an important part of preparing our students for productive and meaningful lives. We strive to build a common set of values among our students and support character education and its role as part of our mission of educating today’s students to succeed in tomorrow’s world.
This is a wonderful opportunity to honor students who exemplify the charac- ter traits and endeavor to promote and model the principles of respect, citizenship, cooperation, responsibility, kindness, honesty, self-control and tolerance.
