Winn-Dixie coupons go mobile
There’s no need to haul a bunch of coupons to Winn-Dixie anymore.
The grocer has launched a My Winn-Dixie app that tracks customers’ purchases and offers digital coupons based on their shopping habits.
“Our customers’ shopping habits vary, so it’s important that we provide a grocery shopping experience that is personal,” said Bert DuMars, vice president of digital marketing at Bi-Lo Holdings, Winn-Dixie’s parent company.
Winn-Dixie also is among retailers who accept Apple Pay, so customers with the latest iPhone can use their smartphone to pay for groceries, eliminating the need to carry cash or plastic payment cards.
The new Winn-Dixie app stems from a partnership with Coupons.com, which developed the technology.
Along with the app, Winn-Dixie has updated its website in an attempt to make shopping easier.
Among the features available on the app and website:
A virtual Winn-Dixie Customer Reward Card that allows customers to redeem coupons, earn fuelperks! rewards and track savings when scanned at the register.
A shopping list that allows customers to add items by scanning their bar codes with their smartphones.
Fuelperks! rewards and coupon savings balances.
The ability to find grocery stores and fuelperks! stations by GPS.
A weekly circular specific to each store that can be sorted by category.
The My Winn-Dixie app is free and available for iPhone and Android phones.
