FOOTBALL: Clemson All-American junior DE Shaq Lawson said he’ll “be ready to play” in the national championship game Jan. 11 against Alabama despite spraining his left knee during the Tigers’ semifinal win over Oklahoma on Thursday. Lawson suffered the injury during the first half and didn’t return. ... Oregon named Matt Lubick its offensive coordinator and he will call plays for the Ducks when they face TCU in the Alamo Bowl on Saturday in San Antonio. Lubick, 43, who has been Oregon’s passing game coordinator and coached the team’s wide receivers the last three seasons, was the expected choice after former offensive coordinator Scott Frost left for the head coaching job at UCF.
