Miramar edges Stranahan

Miramar’s baseball team got a hard-fought victory over St ran a han as the Patriots eventually slayed the Mighty Dragons in extra innings on Monday night, 3-2. Miramar jumped out to an early1-0 lead, but Stranahan rallied back and managed to tie the game 2-2 in the bottom of the fourth inning.

The Patriots were able to seal the victory in the eighth inning to improve their record to 2-0 on the young season. Junior George Hernandez and sophomore Hjalmar Morillo were both 2-4 with an RBI.

Miramar will try to keep their unblemishe­d record intact in a battle of the Patriots when they host American Heritage on Wednesday at 3:45 p.m.
