Human interest tales areworth reading

Sun Sentinel Broward Edition - - VOICES & OPINION - Eugene O’Connor, Pompano Beach

I found the April 17 article on Ben Beach’s Boston Marathon streak by Kyle Hightower of the Associated Press extremely interesting and uplifting. I looked forward to reading more on his accomplishment of completing 50 consecutive Boston Marathons, along with the results posted in the next day’s paper. I was very disappointed when there was no mention of his efforts. Instead, there were — as usual — several articles on violence, corruption and man’s inhumanity.

We do need to be informed of current events, however, we need more human interest stories such as this. I look forward to reading of Ben Beach’s completion of this historic event in your paper soon.
