Be CAPPY: Comprehensive AIDS Program award nominations
The CAPPY Awards, an annual signature event of the Comprehensive AIDS Program of Palm Beach County, Inc. (CAP), recognizes individuals who have made a significant contribution to fight the HIV/AIDS epidemic in local, state, national and/or global communities.
Award categories are: CAPPY Award, person of the year, an individual who has dedicated significant time in a leadership role to HIV/AIDS care, research, or awareness; Medical Achievement Award, individual or company that has led the way in the area of HIV/AIDS treatment; Fundraiser Extraordinaire, individual or company who has shown financial support for the HIV/AIDS effort; Volunteer Extraordinaire, individual who have given of themselves in an outstanding manner as a volunteer to fight HIV/AIDS or assist those living with HIV.
Those interested in submitting nominations for the CAPPY Awards, should contact Scott Kent by phone 561-472-3022 ext. 220 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to receive a nomination form. To be considered for an award, nominations must be received by August 31.
The third annual CAPPY Awards will be presented at the annual event “Le Diner Rouge” October 30 at The Colony Hotel, Palm Beach. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Comprehensive AIDS Program of Palm Beach County, Inc.
As the largest provider of HIV/AIDS services in Palm Beach County, CAP provides and promotes education, advocacy, and compassion to individuals and families infected and affected by HIV and AIDS through case management, prevention, and other support services.
