Imag­ine a world: Gold­stein and Miller dis­play their art

The Del­ray Beach Pub­lic Li­brary re­cently in­stalled its lat­est exhibit en­ti­tled, “Our World Real and Imag­ined,” which will be dis­played in the sec­ond floor gallery through Septem­ber 26. This unique exhibit will fea­ture the stark and pow­er­ful pho­tos taken in down­town Man­hat­tan im­me­di­ately fol­low­ing the Septem­ber 11, 2001 at­tack of the Twin Tow­ers. The pho­tos, shot by Del­ray Beach pho­tog­ra­pher Milton Gold­stein, will also present a Power Point pre­sen­ta­tion of his pho­tos with a dis­cus­sion on Septem­ber 11 at 2 p.m. Also on dis­play will be Gold­stein’s na­ture photography se­ries. The exhibit will also show­case col­or­ful paint­ings by Del­ray Beach artist Julie C. Miller. Miller cre­ates art that engages the mind us­ing a va­ri­ety of medi­ums in­clud­ing pas­tels on pa­per, acrylics on can­vas, mixed me­dia us­ing mod­el­ing paste, news­pa­per, col­ored pa­per and var­i­ous items that bring depth and tex­ture to her works.
