Bob & Marge Fryer

Bob and Marge Fryer will celebrate 50 years of marriage on October 18th. The couple met when Marge was a junior in high school and Bob was stationed in Green Cove Springs with the US Navy. It was love at first sight.

The young couple married in 1958 and moved to New Jersey when Bob’s tour of duty was complete. Twenty years later, still with “sand in their toes” (and golf on Bob’s mind), they bought a home in Deerfield Beach and continued to raise their two beautiful daughters, Cyndi of Jensen Beach and Robyn of Allen, TX.

Today they are “seniors” in that same community and love being around the “youngsters”. The Fryers are members of Saint Jude Catholic Church in Boca Raton. They will be celebrating this very special anniversary with family and friends at The Country Club at Boca Raton, where they are active members. A trip to Las Vegas is planned for late October.

Leonard and Lucille Millhauser celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on September 21st. They enjoyed the company of family and friends to mark the occasion. The two were married on Thursday, September 21, 1944 by Mayor Church of New Rochelle, NY. They honeymooned in Atlantic City, where Leonard found and purchased the perfect wedding ring for his new bride, Lucille. They later moved to Reading, PA, where they raised their two sons, Morton and Howard.

In the early 1970s, they relocated to Pompano Beach, continuing their jewelry sales and distribution business. After years of boating, they pulled up anchor and moved to Boynton Beach to enjoy their retirement.

Ms. Katherine “Kitty” Ryan of Fort Lauderdale and Mr. James Patrick Ryan, Jr. of Copper Mountain, CO are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Bridget Robin Ryan, to Mr. Matthew Paul Lansing Holt, son of Mr. Paul Holt and Mrs. Nancy Del of Orlando.

Bridget is a 2000 graduate of Cardinal Gibbons High School in Fort Lauderdale and received a Bachelors Degree in Spanish and Business from the University of Central Florida in Orlando in 2005. She returned to her studies this past year to pursue a Masters Degree in Global Marketing Communications from Emerson College. Bridget is completing her coursework through an internship with Harvard University in Santiago, Chile.

Matthew received a Bachelors Degree in Accounting from the University of Central Florida, where he and Bridget met. He received a Masters Degree in Accounting from Bentley College in Waltham, MA in 2006. Matthew recently earned the distinction of Certified Public Accountant and is employed as a Financial Statement Auditor for Deloitte & Touche in Boston, MA.

The couple lives in Boston and an April wedding is planned at Saint Anthony Catholic Church in Fort Lauderdale.
