On Oc­to­ber 4, The Young Friends and Fam­i­lies of the South Florida Sci­ence Mu­seum will join Palm Beach County’s young jet-set­ters to ex­plore the far Egyp­tian lands at the group’s an­nual fundrais­ing gala, “Nova Royale: Pharaoh’s Mys­tique.”

The event, which be­gins at 7 p.m., will turn The Na­tional Croquet Cen­ter in West Palm Beach into a mod­ern day Pharaoh’s fan­tasy for an evening of din­ing and danc­ing in sup­port of ad­vance­ment of sci­ence ed­u­ca­tion in Palm Beach County.

Th­ese young and hip sci­ence sup­port­ers, decked out in their best Cleopa­tra-esqe at­tire, will be­gin the evening with a lawn cock­tail re­cep­tion and the op­por­tu­nity to bid on exclusive items in the si­lent auc­tion. Items in­clude: a wine tast­ing for ten from Store Wine Stor­age; Sun­day brunch for 4 at Taboo Restau­rant in Palm Beach; a four­some of golf at PGA Na­tional; a one-night stay at the Night Swan in New Smyrna Beach; a one-night stay at Ho­tel Biba in West Palm Beach; a bun­dle of restau­rant gift cer­tifi­cates from Beni­hana, Leila, and par­tic­i­pat­ing Big Time Restau­rant Group restau­rants; bou­tique cer­tifi­cates and more. Guests will then move in­side the jewel-themed ball­room to dance the night away.

Heather Green­hill and Vir­ginia Oat­ley will chair the event, while Vir­ginia Lang of Wild 95.5 and Jay Cash­mere of WPTV Chan­nel 5 will serve as honorary me­dia chairs.

Funds raised at the event will go to­ward the com­pre­hen­sive cam­paign for the new South Florida Sci­ence Mu­seum.
