The Levis Jewish Community Center celebrates 25 years of service and honors those who made it possible
It’s a night of glitz and glamour, of generosity and compassion, of honors and recognition – it’s the HaNadiv Gala! The signature fundraising event for the Adolph & Rose Levis Jewish Community Center, this year’s festivities will celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the local agency, as well as honor three remarkable individuals and organizations that have shown an extraordinary record of commitment to the community.
Chaired by community leader Emily Grabelsky, this year’s gala will be held at 7 p.m. on January 10, 2009, at the Broken Sound Club in Boca Raton.
The highlight of the spectacular Gala is sure to be the presentation of the HaNadiv Crystal Award to Shirley & Allan Solomon, Levis JCC advocates for more than 20 years who were instrumental in the agency’s growth.
“Shirley and Allan have displayed for more than two decades visionary leadership, passion and support to the mission of the Levis JCC,” said Thomas R. Kaplan, president of the Adolph & Rose Levis JCC. “They have continued to be advocates and pillars of the Jewish community both on a local and national level.”
This year’s HaNadiv Gala also will honor Stephanie Owitz Greenberg with the Levis JCC Community Service Award, which goes to a professional leader who makes a contribution to the betterment the community.
Also at the HaNadiv Gala, an organization is presented with the Levis JCC President’s Recognition Award for its commitment to the mission of the agency. This year’s recipient is Howard Kaye/Barry Kaye Associates.
