Tea honors past chairs of the Harmony House Luncheons
Celebrated at a lovely English Tea hosted by Ann Appleman in her home were the Honorary Chairs and Chairs of the Harmony House luncheons held over the past 16 years. Special guests included Founding Chair, Anita Dubnoff, Frances Fisher, Florence Free, Herme’ de Wyman Miro, and Patty Myura. Former Chairs unable to be in attendance were Catherine Adler, Gale S. Brophy, Susan Keenan and Mary Schott. Among the guests were this year’s luncheon chair Karen Swanson, co-chair Teri Wolofsky and Nancy Marshall president of the YWCA of Palm Beach County.
During the Tea, guests heard the compelling story of a domestic violence survivor whose life was saved by Harmony House, the shelter for battered women and their abused children.
Headlining the Harmony House Luncheon to be held December 10 at The Breakers will be comedian and co-host of ABC’s, The View, Joy Behar. Being honored at the Luncheon for his commitment to domestic violence survivors and the prevention of domestic violence will be retiring State’s Attorney, Barry Krischer.
