Tea hon­ors past chairs of the Har­mony House Lun­cheons

Cel­e­brated at a lovely English Tea hosted by Ann Ap­ple­man in her home were the Honorary Chairs and Chairs of the Har­mony House lun­cheons held over the past 16 years. Spe­cial guests in­cluded Found­ing Chair, Anita Dub­noff, Frances Fisher, Florence Free, Herme’ de Wy­man Miro, and Patty Myura. For­mer Chairs un­able to be in at­ten­dance were Cather­ine Adler, Gale S. Bro­phy, Su­san Keenan and Mary Schott. Among the guests were this year’s lun­cheon chair Karen Swan­son, co-chair Teri Wolof­sky and Nancy Mar­shall pres­i­dent of the YWCA of Palm Beach County.

Dur­ing the Tea, guests heard the com­pelling story of a do­mes­tic vi­o­lence sur­vivor whose life was saved by Har­mony House, the shel­ter for bat­tered women and their abused chil­dren.

Head­lin­ing the Har­mony House Lun­cheon to be held De­cem­ber 10 at The Break­ers will be co­me­dian and co-host of ABC’s, The View, Joy Be­har. Be­ing hon­ored at the Lun­cheon for his com­mit­ment to do­mes­tic vi­o­lence sur­vivors and the preven­tion of do­mes­tic vi­o­lence will be re­tir­ing State’s At­tor­ney, Barry Krischer.
