Sue and Bob Touhey will celebrate their 50th Wedding Anniversary on November 29, 2008. They met as young children in Long Island, New York and began dating in 1954. It was “love at first sight” for both.

When Sue was in high school, Bob entered the Army and was sent to Germany. When he returned, they married, raised four children and moved to Fort Lauderdale in 1968. The two are still best friends and share the love that you have once you have met your soul mate.

Sue and Bob are both retired. Bob retired as an Oakland Park Police Officer while Sue retired from the Broward County School Board. They enjoy traveling, dining with friends and visiting their 12 grandchildren. Their children, Bob, Beth, Maureen, and Stacey along with family and friends will honor the couple with a dinner reception at Lauderdale Yacht Club in November. They plan an Alaskan cruise as they continue to celebrate many more years of happiness.
