Lun­cheon raises aware­ness for Han­nah’s Home

Put on your fa­vorite sun­dress and ca­sual footwear for this af­ter­noon of fun. Han­nah’s Home will present its “Sun­dresses & San­dals Sum­mer Lun­cheon” from1 to 4 p.m. Aug. 25 at Sail­fish Club of Palm Beach, 1338 N. Lake Way, Palm Beach.

The col­or­ful lun­cheon will in­clude a wel­come re­cep­tion with an ex­hibit of ed­i­ble san­dal cakes that will be avail­able for auc­tion, a three-course culi­nary lun­cheon pre­sented by Chef Rocco Pa­tel and a full Lilly Pulitzer chic en­sem­ble avail­able for auc­tion.

An­other high­light will in­clude the cel­e­bra­tion of women in busi­ness and the launch ofWomen in Out­reach to Women (WOW!).

“Sun­dresses & San­dals Sum­mer Lun­cheon” will ben­e­fit the monthly op­er­at­ing costs of Han­nah’s Home South Florida. The non­profit houses young preg­nant, home­less teens in dis­tress. The girls ar­rive on the doorstep in cri­sis and are wel­comed into a two-year ed­u­ca­tional and work-study pro­gram where they re­ceive coun­sel­ing, Bi­ble study, home economics and are men­tored through early mother­hood to be­come con­fi­dent, ca­pa­ble women in the com­mu­nity.

Lilly Pulitzer is the main sup­porter of this event that Han­nah’s Home hopes be­comes an an­nual pro­duc­tion. The cost is $100 per per­son or $900 for a ta­ble of 10.
