Drive, chip and putt for a great cause. The Adolph & Rose Le­vis Jewish Com­mu­nity Center is host­ing its an­nual “Golf Clas­sic” Oct. 21 at the Ad­di­son Re­serve Coun­try Club in Del­ray Beach. The 10th an­nual event is pre­sented by Phyl­lis and Har­vey San­dler.

The day kicks off at 10:30 a.m. with reg­is­tra­tion, a light lunch, warm-up and a putting con­test be­fore the shot­gun start at noon. The day on the greens will fea­ture 18 holes of cham­pi­onship-like golf. The day will con­clude with cock­tails and din­ner, an award cer­e­mony and the pre­sen­ta­tion of the Mel Guttman Award.

Boca Ra­ton Re­gional Hos­pi­tal will be hon­ored for its con­tin­ued sup­port of the Le­vis JCC. The tour­na­ment, co-chaired byAmy Ross, Stuart Ganslaw, Thomas R. Ka­plan and Gary Ru­bin, con­tin­ues a tra­di­tion of hon­or­ing long­time Le­vis JCC sup­porter and board mem­ber Mel Gut­mann’s mem­ory and his legacy of ser­vice to the Jewish com­mu­nity. Eric Gut­mann, Mel’s son, will serve as hon­orary chair.

Play­ers, par­tic­i­pants and the com­mu­nity at large are also in­vited to en­ter a raf­fle draw­ing for prizes in­clud­ing: $1,000 to­ward a Royal Caribbean cruise, cour­tesy of AirCruiseSav­ings.com; 18-karat white gold chan­de­lier-style ear­rings from Gre­gory’s Fine Jew­elry; a 24-inch An­droidHDS­mart Dis­play with we­b­cam from ViewSonic; and $1,000 to­ward the Le­vis JCC pro­gram/ser­vice of your choice or $1,000 cash. The sug­gested min­i­mum dona­tion is $75 per raf­fle ticket.

Tick­ets to play in the “Golf Clas­sic” are $325 for in­di­vid­ual golfers and $1,500 for elite four­somes, which in­cludes a tee spon­sor­ship.

Pro­ceeds from the tour­na­ment will ben­e­fit pro­grams of the Le­vis JCC.
