GEMS ROCK: NIGHTS AT THE MUSEUM South Florida Science Center and Aquarium
Part of the “Nights at the Museum” series, this event will offer amber soap making, crystal and jewelry making demos, salt and rock painting crafts, face painting and snow cones and a special performance by School of Rock. There will also be the “How Mother Nature Makes Rocks” presentation by Mr. Why at 6:15, 7:15 and 8:15 p.m. In addition, the Gem Society will be on-site for the special unveiling of a new gem panning station. Located on the outdoor science trail, guests can purchase a bag of gems from the Science Center gift shop and pan for special treasures. Nonmembers: $13.50 for adults; $10 for children over 3.
