Sweet serenity: ‘Journey for Faith’ yoga event
The Sonoma House will host the “Journey for Faith” yoga event March 28 to raise money for the Epilepsy Foundation of Florida. The nonprofit organization is committed to finding a cure and overcoming the challenges created by epilepsy.
The Sonoma House in Boca Raton, the newest member of the Max group, is teaming up with yoga studio Yoga Journey for the event.
Faith Kaplan, a Yoga Journey student, was diagnosed with epilepsy three years ago. She teamed up with Citizens United for Research in Epilepsy (CURE) and Flywheel Sports Boca for the “Fly For Faith” epilepsy charity ride Feb. 25. CURE is a nonprofit organization dedicated to finding a cure for epilepsy by raising funds for research and raising awareness of the disease.
At 6 p.m., Yoga Journey’s owner Leslie Glickman and Lori Klinger, will be guiding the yoga practice at The Sonoma House.
Epilepsy affects more than three million Americans of all ages andmore than 500 cases of epilepsy are diagnosed daily.
Guests will enjoy light bites, snacks, juices, nutrition consultations, raffles and more. The cost is $25 to reserve mat space.
