Cure what ‘ales’ you at Snook and Gamefish Foundation’s day of beer and beats
les for Anglers,” a one-day event with green initiatives, is set to take place March 29 from 2:30 to 9 p.m. at the Sunset Cove Amphitheater in Boca Raton.
The event will bring together craft beer, home brew, fishing and music enthusiasts in celebrating Florida living. All proceeds support the Snook and Gamefish Foundation, comprised of anglers dedicated to protecting Florida fisheries.
As an effort to help protect Florida’s environment, organizers have implemented green initiatives, which include canned water and canned drinks instead of plastic, carpooling shuttles from hotels offering group rates along Glades Road (Renaissance Boca Raton Hotel, Hilton Suites Boca Raton, and Boca Raton Holiday Inn Express), and using environmentally friendly products and vendors.
The craft beers served at the event will be produced by Florida breweries. There will be a variety to choose from, including Cigar City, which has won many national awards. Guests can also enjoy unlimited home brew samplings from several local brewers during the first hour of the event and attendees can vote for their favorite. Each choice will be accompanied by a detailed description, helping guests make their selections.
In keeping with the event’s theme, Shake Your Hips and Wet Your Lips, Floridian band JJ Grey & Mofro will be the headliner for the day’s musical entertainment.
