Providing a home and lots of hope SOS Children’s Villages - Florida’s annual gala to raise funds for foster children
SOS Children’s Villages - Florida will host its 18th annual “Hope and Home Gala” April 26 at the BocaWest Country Club. The evening will benefit the children living in the Coconut Creek foster care neighborhood.
The organization provides care and guidance to the 75 children living in the village. SOS programs also provide vital on-site services such as therapy, tutoring and life skills. Each SOS child is empowered to think about their future in a positive light and is provided the tools to pursue their goals and dreams.
SOS has helped raise more than 450 youth since first opening its doors in1993. The community of volunteers and friends has played an integral role in providing the opportunities and support that helps each child heal and thrive as they grow.
The first generation of children to grow up in the village has started to make a positive impact in the community as teachers, police officers, entrepreneurs and community leaders giving back to those who helped them.
“Our annual celebration is a chance to recognize the wonderful effect the village has on the lives of foster children in South Florida. And, the money we raise ensures the boys and girls will continue to receive the help they need and the home they deserve,” said Kristina Stein, event chairwoman.
Festivities will include cocktails, food, dancing and more. Silent and live auctions will feature prizes such as an NYC Fashion Week package, a Vegas getaway and more.
Tickets are $250 per person. For more information, call 954-420-5030 or visit www.hopeandhomegala.org.
