Honoring men with caring hearts
The13th annual “Men with Caring Hearts (MWCH)” awards luncheon, benefiting Florence Fuller Child Development Centers (FFCDC), will take place April 25 at the BocaWest Country Club in Boca Raton. The event gives nonprofit organizations an opportunity to recognize and thank outstanding male volunteers who have given time, energy and resources to help others in the community. Michelle and John Antonini, community philanthropists and FFCDC enthusiasts, will chair this year’s event.
Jay DiPietro is this year’s “Biggest Heart” honoree, awarded to philanthropic leaders whose dedication has positively impacted individuals and the community.
In addition, all Palm Beach County and select Broward County nonprofit organizations are invited to pay tribute to one man who has made a significant difference to their organization for the OutstandingVolunteer Service Award. The nominees and their organizations are Arthur Adler of SOS Children’s Villages-Florida, Andrew Alminana of Kiwanis Club of Boca Raton, William Cappeller of Boys& Girls Club of Palm Beach County, Bill Feinberg of Ann Storck Center, Hal Finkelstein of Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce, Mark Grimaldi of Broward Children’s Center, Nick Hartofilis of YMCA of South Palm Beach County, Ben Krieger of AVDA, Neil Meany of Florence Fuller Child Development Centers, Bob Morency of Equine-Assisted Therapies of South Florida, Warren Orlando of Boca Raton Regional Hospital Foundation, S. Chris Palermo of The George Snow Scholarship Fund, Greg Peters of Boca Helping Hands, Leslie Rozencwaig of Pine Crest School, Sanjiv Sharma of Caridad Center, Joseph B. Shearouse III of UnitedWay of Palm Beach County, Aaron Sherwin of Boca Raton Police Department and Gary Starkand of TheWeiss School.
Participating agencies are also encouraged to nominate a young male volunteer age16-21 for the “Youth in Philanthropy Award.” The honorees in this category are Dylan Ehrnst of YMCA of South Palm Beach County, Jonathan Howard of HandsOn Broward and Joshua McMann of Florence Fuller Child Development Centers.
