Un­lock your heart ‘Hab-a-Hearts Lun­cheon’ to ben­e­fit in­di­vid­u­als with dis­abil­i­ties

The an­nual “Hab-a-Hearts Lun­cheon,” ben­e­fit­ing Palm Beach Ha­bil­i­ta­tion Cen­ter, will take place Feb. 16 at Mar-A-Lago in Palm Beach.

The event, themed “Un­lock Your Heart,” will in­clude an af­ter­noon of sump­tu­ous lunch, guest speaker Tif­fany Ken­ney and in­for­mal mod­el­ing by the Colon­nade Out­lets at Saw­grass Mills.

Those in at­ten­dance will en­joy “Hab-a-Ti­nis” pro­vided by Per­fect Vodka of Le­gacy Im­ports and com­pli­men­tary wine by Di­a­geo. There will also be mu­sic by Va­lerie White and the op­por­tu­nity to bid on more than 200 si­lent auc­tion items dur­ing the cock­tail re­cep­tion. Those in at­ten­dance can also bid on live auc­tion items, in­clud­ing beau­ti­ful art­work by Eve­lyn Ballin, tick­ets to a New York Yan­kees game and a week stay in Cape Cod.

Chairs for the 2015 “Hab-A-Hearts Lun­cheon” are Mar­i­anne Vel­lis and Sherry Szczublewski. Com­mit­tee mem­bers in­clude Jim Ac­cur­sio, Prudie An­der­son, San­dra Blumel, Christina Brower, Cindee Brown, Donna Brown, Nancy Cash­man, Carol Cucci, Char­lotte Deleu, Su­san Down­ing, Joanne Driscoll, Kathy Fer­nan­des, Bar­bara Fuschetti, Jenifer Kel­ley, Hen­ri­etta Koret­sky, He­len Lo­go­thetis, Noreen Mey­ers, Mary LouNea­gle, Gail Neebe, Mary Ann Pear­son, Michelle Richard­son, Sheila Rinker, Donna Scully, Lou An­nWil­son Swan, Lyn­nWise Smith, Va­lerie Tango and Bab­bette Wolff.

Palm Beach Ha­bil­i­ta­tion Cen­ter, a United Way Agency, is a pri­vate non­profit or­ga­ni­za­tion that pro­vides em­ploy­ment, job place­ment, res­i­den­tial and re­tire­ment ser­vices to men and women with men­tal, emo­tional and phys­i­cal dis­abil­i­ties. Since open­ing in 1959, more than 10,000 men and women have been placed in com­mu­nity em­ploy­ment. Each year, more than 800 in­di­vid­u­als re­ceive a va­ri­ety of ser­vices from the Palm Beach Ha­bil­i­ta­tion Cen­ter.
