Paw-ty time West­ern-themed ball goes to the dogs— lit­er­ally

Call­ing all pet lovers. Put on your cow­boy hats and finest boots for the13th an­nual “Dog­gie Ball.”

The event is set for 5:30 p.m. March 22 at Bo­caWest Coun­try Club, 20583 Bo­caWest Drive, Boca Ra­ton. It will ben­e­fit Tri-County An­i­mal Res­cue (TCAR).

“Dog­gie Ball” will open with a Bone-Nanza pre-party, flow­ing with cock­tails and hors d’oeu­vres. The pre-party also will fea­ture a si­lent auc­tion with a Dog­gie-Cat Cou­ture sec­tion and a spe­cial show­case of adopt­able dogs. Then starts the west­ern-themed din­ner. There also will be danc­ing to the Jerry Wayne Pri­vate Party Band, a per­for­mance by vo­cal­ist Ken­dra Erika, and a live auc­tion.

This year’s cov­eted Jean­nette Chris­tos Award will be pre­sented to long-time TCAR sup­porter and bene­fac­tor Marta Batmasian in recog­ni­tion of her un­wa­ver­ing ded­i­ca­tion and com­mit­ment.

Hon­orary chairs for “Dog­gie Ball” are Lois Pope, Ari Rifkin, Herme deWy­man Miro, Betsy Green, Thomas Saw­icz, An­drea Kline, De­bra and Jerry Kramer, and Marie and Frank Oc­chi­grossi. Am­bas­sadors are Jay DiPi­etro and Jerry Kramer.
