Requiring proper ID is not voter supression

Sun Sentinel Palm Beach Edition - - VOICES & OPINION -

Can we agree that banks and corporations should be audited? I believe the answer is yes. Keep them honest. Why, then, is an audit of the voter rolls “voter suppression”?

If Democrats think that providing proper identification makes it too difficult to vote, then they should focus some of their “get out the vote” effort on assisting the disenfranchised to acquire proper ID. It will be a help to those individuals in their daily life as well. How many times in the course of a day does one need to provide ID? I do often.

Voting is important. It should be honest and it should be protected from fraud. Karen O’Loughlin, Tamarac
