Ranger’s help reminds us of everyday heroes

-

I want to share good news and thank my hero, Israel, of the Road Rangers. On Sunday, Nov. 12, I was taking some friends from Fort Lauderdale to the Port of Miami when I had a flat tire in the southbound express lane on I-95, right before the Ives Dairy Road exit. I was able to stop on the shoulder in the express lane but it was quite horrifying stuck there with the traffic speeding by inches away.

I called AAA but the representative said it could take up to two hours for help to arrive. I called Florida Highway Patrol and within 20 minutes Road Ranger Israel arrived. He was not to be deterred by the fact that the spare tire was in a ridiculously hard to locate place, or the fact that the flat tire was on the passenger side, closest to the speeding traffic. He persevered, located the spare and quickly put it on. He was very pleasant and extremely helpful and reassuring during the whole process.

We were extremely grateful and appreciative for Israel coming to our rescue. His pleasant demeanor and dedicated professionalism showed us all that everyday heroes are still around. Thank you for your service, Israel. Stacie Adler, Fort Lauderdale
