- By Tonya Alanez Staff writer Tonya Alanez

Two men who posed as job applicants at a Pembroke Park marine-supply company are connected to a crew of thieves who stole a forklift and $1 millionworth of equipment, the Broward Sheriff ’s Office said. The burglary was carried out over a dozen visits during the course of one weekend, said Joy Oglesby, a spokeswoman for the Sheriff ’s Office.

First, two men applied for jobs at Baltec Marine, 3580 SW 20th St., on Friday, Jan. 5, she said. Later that night the thieves broke into a rear cargo bay door.

Surveillance video shows the two pretend job applicants walking through the warehouse. The video was released Monday in the hopes that someone might recognize the men.

Both men were heavy-set. One wore a royal blue long-sleeve shirt, jeans and a yellow ball cap. The other man wore a striped white and burgundy long-sleeve shirt, jeans and a burgundy ball cap, the video shows.
