A road clo­sure and park­ing re­stric­tions will be in ef­fect Tues­day, July 4, for Eas­ton’s In­de­pen­dence Day cel­e­bra­tion.

EAS­TON — A road clo­sure and park­ing re­stric­tions will be in ef­fect Tues­day, July 4, for Eas­ton’s In­de­pen­dence Day cel­e­bra­tion.

Start­ing at about noon Tues­day, Eas­ton po­lice will close Marl­boro Av­enue to ve­hic­u­lar traf­fic from St. Michaels Road to the south en­trance to Tar­get. Only event staff, ven­dors and emer­gency per­son­nel will be al­lowed. “No park­ing” signs will be posted at the fol­low­ing lo­ca­tions: • State Route 322 from Glen­wood Av­enue to Glebe Road • St. Michaels Road from Route 322 to the Eas­ton ju­ris­dic­tional line

• Marl­boro Av­enue from Brooks Drive to the rear en­trance to Tar­get • The north side of the rear en­trance to Tar­get Ve­hi­cles in vi­o­la­tion will be sub­ject to a fine, tow­ing and a stor­age fee.

Hand­i­capped park­ing will be avail­able on the south side of the rear en­trance to Tar­get.

At the con­clu­sion of the fire­works dis­play, Eas­ton po­lice per­son­nel will cre­ate a traf­fic pat­tern de­signed to as­sist mo­torists out of the park­ing ar­eas as ef­fi­ciently as pos­si­ble. Po­lice re­mind driv­ers to fol­low the of­fi­cers’ di­rec­tions and to be pa­tient.

The rain date for the fire­works is Wed­nes­day.
