A road closure and parking restrictions will be in effect Tuesday, July 4, for Easton’s Independence Day celebration.
EASTON — A road closure and parking restrictions will be in effect Tuesday, July 4, for Easton’s Independence Day celebration.
Starting at about noon Tuesday, Easton police will close Marlboro Avenue to vehicular traffic from St. Michaels Road to the south entrance to Target. Only event staff, vendors and emergency personnel will be allowed. “No parking” signs will be posted at the following locations: • State Route 322 from Glenwood Avenue to Glebe Road • St. Michaels Road from Route 322 to the Easton jurisdictional line
• Marlboro Avenue from Brooks Drive to the rear entrance to Target • The north side of the rear entrance to Target Vehicles in violation will be subject to a fine, towing and a storage fee.
Handicapped parking will be available on the south side of the rear entrance to Target.
At the conclusion of the fireworks display, Easton police personnel will create a traffic pattern designed to assist motorists out of the parking areas as efficiently as possible. Police remind drivers to follow the officers’ directions and to be patient.
The rain date for the fireworks is Wednesday.
