Microbrewery on Kent Island
The former Acme grocery store is becoming home to a microbrewery. The business called Glass Valve Brewing is expected to open its doors in the coming months and will be the largest microbrew location in the area. Chris Davis, a senior advisor for SVN Miller Commercial Real Estate, developed the site in collaboration with Marley Welsh of Lee and Associates to consumate the deal. SVN has worked with other breweries on the Shore. He feels this new addition to Kent Island will have a positive impact on economic development in that area. “This solidifies my opinion that Glass Valve Brewing will attract attention from both sides of the Chesapeake Bay and be an asset to the town of Chester,” Davis said.
