Easton man involved in Somerset fatal
EASTON — An Easton man was involved in a fatal motorcycle accident in Somerset County on Thursday, Sept. 14.
According to Maryland State Police, around 2 p.m. Thursday, troopers with the Princess Anne Barracks responded to state Route 413 south of Lovers Lane in Westover.
Police said a 2017 Kawasaki motorcycle, driven by 78-year-old Allan Robin of Crisfield, was driving south on Route 413 with two vehicles in front of him. The lead vehicle, a 2005 Dodge pickup truck, driven by William Keller, 32, of Easton was beginning the process of turning left from the highway onto a service road, police said.
Police said that the operator of the motorcycle, for unknown reasons, began to pass the two vehicles on the lefthand side and collided with the driver’s door of the Dodge pickup that was in the process of turning.
Robin sustained serious injuries and ultimately died, police said.
