Easton man wanted in Florida arrested
EASTON — An Easton man wanted by police in Florida on child abuse and molestation charges was arrested in town for an unrelated incident, then later served his fugitive warrants from Florida.
Police identified the man as Isai Perez-Reyes, 25, of the 500 block of Glenwood Avenue.
According to police, on Wednesday, Sept. 20, officers responded to a residence in the 500 block of Glenwood Avenue for a reported domestic assault in progress. Upon arrival, officers found a woman, who later was confirmed as Perez-Reyes’ older sister, crying and bleeding from an eye that was swollen and discolored, according to police.
Police said Perez-Reyes and his sister got into a fight over cooking, and he allegedly twice hit her in the face with a bottle of dish detergent. Perez-Reyes was arrested and charged with second-degree assault.
He was taken to the Easton Point Department and processed, and later was held without bond at the Talbot County Detention Center.
The next day, on Thursday, Sept. 21, police served fugitive warrants from Florida on Perez-Reyes. According to police, he is wanted in Florida on charges of child abuse, lewd/lascivious molestation of a child, kidnapping/false imprisonment and driving without a license.
He remains at the Talbot County Detention Center pending extradition to Florida, according to Easton police.
