Eas­ton man wanted in Florida ar­rested

EAS­TON — An Eas­ton man wanted by po­lice in Florida on child abuse and mo­lesta­tion charges was ar­rested in town for an un­re­lated in­ci­dent, then later served his fugi­tive war­rants from Florida.

Po­lice iden­ti­fied the man as Isai Perez-Reyes, 25, of the 500 block of Glen­wood Av­enue.

Ac­cord­ing to po­lice, on Wed­nes­day, Sept. 20, of­fi­cers re­sponded to a res­i­dence in the 500 block of Glen­wood Av­enue for a re­ported do­mes­tic as­sault in progress. Upon ar­rival, of­fi­cers found a woman, who later was con­firmed as Perez-Reyes’ older sis­ter, cry­ing and bleed­ing from an eye that was swollen and dis­col­ored, ac­cord­ing to po­lice.

Po­lice said Perez-Reyes and his sis­ter got into a fight over cook­ing, and he al­legedly twice hit her in the face with a bot­tle of dish de­ter­gent. Perez-Reyes was ar­rested and charged with sec­ond-de­gree as­sault.

He was taken to the Eas­ton Point Depart­ment and pro­cessed, and later was held with­out bond at the Tal­bot County De­ten­tion Cen­ter.

The next day, on Thurs­day, Sept. 21, po­lice served fugi­tive war­rants from Florida on Perez-Reyes. Ac­cord­ing to po­lice, he is wanted in Florida on charges of child abuse, lewd/las­civ­i­ous mo­lesta­tion of a child, kid­nap­ping/false im­pris­on­ment and driv­ing with­out a li­cense.

He re­mains at the Tal­bot County De­ten­tion Cen­ter pend­ing ex­tra­di­tion to Florida, ac­cord­ing to Eas­ton po­lice.
