Police investigating apparent drownings
FEDERALSBURG — Local law enforcement agencies are investigating two apparent drownings from separate incidents that occurred Thursday night and Friday morning in Dorchester and Caroline counties.
According to Eastern Shore Fire/EMS/Police Breaking News’ Facebook page, the first incident occurred at about 8:45 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, when a vehicle drove from Main Street in Secretary into the Warwick River.
According to the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office, a man was pulled from the car, and later pronounced dead at University of Maryland Shore Medical Center at Dorchester in Cambridge. The sheriff’s office has not released additional information about the incident with the investigation ongoing.
The following morning at about 11:40 a.m., according to Eastern Shore Fire/EMS/Police Breaking News’ Facebook page, emergency personnel were called to East Central Ave., and Chambers Lake Drive in Federalsburg for an apparent drowning.
Federalsburg police are leading the investigation, but have not been able to release details about the incident with the investigation ongoing.
