Easton Choral Arts Society sings ‘Made in the USA’
Singers line up Friday, Oct. 13, in the sanctuary of Christ Church to give the season opener for the Easton Choral Arts Society. The chorus will give its second performance of American choral music, “Made in the USA” at 4 p.m. Sunday in Easton under the direction of Wes Lock faw. The 43-member chorus will sing a sampler of American music from two centuries of history, including that of composers Stephen Foster, Aaron Copeland, Cole Porter, the Gershwins, Hoagy Carmichael, and Rodgers and Hammerstein. The program is funded in part by the Maryland State Arts Council, Talbot County Arts Council, Choptank Electric Trust Inc., Mid-Shore Community Foundation, and the Hope Fulton & Joel C. Leuchter Philanthropic Fund.
