Eas­ton Choral Arts So­ci­ety sings ‘Made in the USA’

Singers line up Fri­day, Oct. 13, in the sanc­tu­ary of Christ Church to give the sea­son opener for the Eas­ton Choral Arts So­ci­ety. The cho­rus will give its sec­ond per­for­mance of Amer­i­can choral mu­sic, “Made in the USA” at 4 p.m. Sun­day in Eas­ton un­der the di­rec­tion of Wes Lock faw. The 43-mem­ber cho­rus will sing a sam­pler of Amer­i­can mu­sic from two cen­turies of his­tory, in­clud­ing that of com­posers Stephen Fos­ter, Aaron Copeland, Cole Porter, the Gersh­wins, Hoagy Carmichael, and Rodgers and Ham­mer­stein. The pro­gram is funded in part by the Mary­land State Arts Coun­cil, Tal­bot County Arts Coun­cil, Chop­tank Electric Trust Inc., Mid-Shore Com­mu­nity Foun­da­tion, and the Hope Ful­ton & Joel C. Leuchter Phil­an­thropic Fund.
