Becker Mor­gan Group pro­motes five em­ploy­ees

SAL­IS­BURY — Becker Mor­gan Group has an­nounced the fol­low­ing em­ployee pro­mo­tions.

Mike Rie­mann has been pro­moted to prin­ci­pal, demon­strat­ing strong tech­ni­cal com­pe­tency and lead­er­ship skills through­out his ten­ure with Becker Mor­gan Group, ac­cord­ing to a com­pany press re­lease. Rie­mann started as an in­tern in 1997, joined full time as a civil de­signer in 2001, ad­vanced to as­so­ciate in 2006, was named se­nior as­so­ciate in 2009, pro­moted to as­so­ciate prin­ci­pal in 2016 and be­came a prin­ci­pal in 2018.

Rie­mann is a grad­u­ate of Univer­sity of Delaware with a Bach­e­lor of Sci­ence/ Civil En­gi­neer­ing de­gree and is a reg­is­tered pro­fes­sional en­gi­neer in Delaware. He played a vi­tal role in the open­ing and ex­pan­sion of the firm’s new­est of­fice in Ne­wark, Del. His ex­ten­sive ex­pe­ri­ence spans statewide across Delaware, with ex­per­tise in var­i­ous mar­ket sec­tors in­clud­ing, com­mer­cial, re­tail, education, in­sti­tu­tional, res­i­den­tial sub­di­vi­sion and more.

He is ac­tively in­volved in nu­mer­ous pro­fes­sional and civic or­ga­ni­za­tions, in­clud­ing his cur­rent role serv­ing as pres­i­dent of the Amer­i­can Council of En­gi­neer­ing Com­pa­nies of Delaware, and has been rec­og­nized as the 2015 Delaware Council of En­gi­neer­ing So­ci­eties Young En­gi­neer of the Year, 2014 Ro­tar­ian of the Year from the Dover Down­town Ro­tary and 2013 As­so­ciate Mem­ber of the Year from the Home Builders As­so­ci­a­tion of Delaware.

Brenden Fred­er­ick has been pro­moted to as­so­ciate prin­ci­pal. He has been with the firm for 14 years, is a reg­is­tered ar­chi­tect in Mary­land and Delaware, holds a Na­tional Council of Ar­chi­tec­tural Regis­tra­tion Boards cer­ti­fi­ca­tion and is a LEED Ac­cred­ited Pro­fes­sional. He has ex­ten­sive ex­pe­ri­ence in ed­u­ca­tional, public safety, health care, man­u­fac­tur­ing and mul­ti­fam­ily projects, in­clud­ing serv­ing as pro­ject man­ager on the John­son Con­trols/ Mid­dle­town Dis­tri­bu­tion Cen­ter and the new Datwyler Phar­ma­ceu­ti­cal plant, both in Mid­dle­town, Del., and nu­mer­ous projects with Nan­ti­coke Health Ser­vices in Seaford, Del., and Penin­sula Re­gional Med­i­cal Cen­ter in Sal­is­bury.

Fred­er­ick holds a Mas­ter and Bach­e­lor of Ar­chi­tec­ture from Tu­lane Univer­sity. He is an ac­tive mem­ber of the Amer­i­can In­sti­tute of Ar­chi­tects, in­clud­ing ser­vice as the 2017 AIA Mary­land Chap­ter pres­i­dent and Ch­e­sa­peake Bay Chap­ter di­rec­tor. He also serves as a mem­ber of the Sal­is­bury His­toric District Com­mis­sion and is pres­i­dent elect of the Ro­tary Club of Wi­comico County.

Jack Mum­ford has been with Becker Mor­gan Group for 28 years, and is now an as­so­ciate prin­ci­pal. Mum­ford is a reg­is­tered ar­chi­tect in Mary­land and Texas and is a LEED Ac­cred­ited Pro­fes­sional. He stud­ied ar­chi­tec­tural de­sign and build­ing tech­nol­ogy at Delaware Tech­ni­cal Com­mu­nity Col­lege and holds two pro­fes­sional cer­tifi­cates, Con­struc­tion Prac­tices and Con­struc­tion Es­ti­mat­ing, from San Diego State Univer­sity. His re­spon­si­bil­i­ties in­clude pro­ject man­age­ment, ar­chi­tec­tural de­sign and spec­i­fi­ca­tions with vast ex­pe­ri­ence in ho­tel, restau­rant, recre­ation, com­mer­cial/re­tail and multi-fam­ily res­i­den­tial projects.

He cur­rently serves as pro­ject man­ager on the Ocean City Con­ven­tion Cen­ter Phase 3 ex­pan­sion, nu­mer­ous new ho­tel projects in Philadel­phia, Pa., White Marsh, Md., Ne­wark, Del., and Re­hoboth Beach, Del., as well as the re­cently com­pleted new Em­bassy Suites by Hil­ton Wilm­ing­ton River­front in Wilm­ing­ton, N.C.

Jon Lipka has been pro­moted to se­nior as­so­ciate. With a Bach­e­lor of Ar­chi­tec­ture from the Univer­sity of Hawaii at M’noa School of Ar­chi­tec­ture, he is a reg­is­tered ar­chi­tect in Mary­land, holds a Na­tional Council of Ar­chi­tec­tural Regis­tra­tion Boards cr­ti­fi­ca­tion, and is a cer­ti­fied con­struc­tion con­tract ad­min­is­tra­tor and con­struc­tion doc­u­ments tech­nol­o­gist.

Lipka has been with the firm for 14 years and serves as the firm’s build­ing in­for­ma­tion man­age­ment man­ager and lead qual­ity con­trol pro­fes­sional. He lends his ex­per­tise pri­mar­ily in ed­u­ca­tional and public safety projects while tak­ing an ac­tive role serv­ing as a men­tor for new em­ploy­ees, pro­vid­ing train­ing on soft­ware stan­dards.

Lipka has served as pro­ject man­ager on mul­ti­ple ed­u­ca­tional projects in both Mary­land and Delaware, and is an as­sis­tant pas­tor at Saint Thomas the Dis­ci­ple in Sal­is­bury.

Bill Sieg has been with the firm for 19 years and is now a se­nior as­so­ciate. Sieg is a reg­is­tered ar­chi­tect in Mary­land and holds a Mas­ter of Ar­chi­tec­ture from Mor­gan State Univer­sity and Bach­e­lor of Arts from Univer­sity of Delaware. He is on the board of di­rec­tors for the Ocean City De­vel­op­ment Cor­po­ra­tion and also is ac­tive with the Ocean City Ho­tel Mo­tel Restau­rant As­so­ci­a­tion and AIA Ch­e­sa­peake Bay Chap­ter.

Sieg brings unique ex­per­tise in land plan­ning, form-based code cre­ation and im­ple­men­ta­tion, and mas­ter plan­ning. He has par­tic­i­pated with civic af­fil­i­a­tions to cre­ate and ad­min­is­ter de­sign guidelines, stan­dards and zon­ing codes that en­cour­age at­trac­tive build­ings that re­flect con­tex­tual de­sign and char­ac­ter ap­pro­pri­ate to their lo­cal re­gion.
