Food vendors wanted for annual Multicultural Festival
EASTON — The Avalon Foundation is looking for food vendors for the 19th annual Multicultural Festival, which will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 5, in Idlewild Park.
The free event is a celebration of the Mid-Shore’s distinct heritages and sense of community. It will offer food, local craft vendors, community organizations and live music.
The year’s festival will feature a performance by Magna Carda, a hip hop act that has risen to the top of the music scene in Austin, Texas.
Since its debut in 2000 as a project of Talbot County P.E.A.C.E, the Multicultural Festival has featured live entertainment, a variety of refreshments including ethnic food selections, children’s games and an opportunity to visit local vendors and area service organizations.
Groups and vendors interested in joining this event should fill out the application available at the Avalon Foundation website (www.avalon foundation.org) or call Suzy Moore at 410-822-0345.
