Food ven­dors wanted for an­nual Multicultural Fes­ti­val

EAS­TON — The Avalon Foun­da­tion is look­ing for food ven­dors for the 19th an­nual Multicultural Fes­ti­val, which will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Satur­day, May 5, in Idlewild Park.

The free event is a cel­e­bra­tion of the Mid-Shore’s dis­tinct her­itages and sense of com­mu­nity. It will of­fer food, lo­cal craft ven­dors, com­mu­nity or­ga­ni­za­tions and live mu­sic.

The year’s fes­ti­val will fea­ture a per­for­mance by Magna Carda, a hip hop act that has risen to the top of the mu­sic scene in Austin, Texas.

Since its de­but in 2000 as a project of Tal­bot County P.E.A.C.E, the Multicultural Fes­ti­val has fea­tured live en­ter­tain­ment, a va­ri­ety of re­fresh­ments in­clud­ing eth­nic food se­lec­tions, chil­dren’s games and an op­por­tu­nity to visit lo­cal ven­dors and area ser­vice or­ga­ni­za­tions.
