Cam­bridge to host free Fam­ily Movie Night

CAM­BRIDGE — On Fri­day, May 4, the city of Cam­bridge will host its fourth free Fam­ily Movie Night at the Sail­winds Park Am­phithe­ater, fea­tur­ing the Academy Award-win­ning an­i­mated film “Coco.”

The show will start at about 8:15 p.m. Pop­corn and drinks will be pro­vided, while sup­plies last.

“‘Coco’ is such a great movie, and we’re con­fi­dent every­one in the fam­ily will en­joy it,” said Bran­don Hes­son, the as­so­ci­ate direc­tor of eco­nomic de­vel­op­ment for Cam­bridge. “The free movie nights have al­ways been well at­tended, and it’s good to see the en­tire com­mu­nity get­ting to­gether to en­joy fam­ily-ori­ented fun.”

De­spite his fam­ily’s gen­er­a­tions-old ban on mu­sic, young Miguel dreams of becoming an ac­com­plished mu­si­cian like his idol Ernesto de la Cruz. Des­per­ate to prove his tal­ent, Miguel finds him­self in the stun­ning and col­or­ful Land of the Dead. Af­ter meet­ing a charm­ing trick­ster named Héc­tor, the two new friends em­bark on an ex­tra­or­di­nary jour­ney to un­lock the real story be­hind Miguel’s fam­ily his­tory.

“Coco” is fam­ily-friendly, and every­one is en­cour­aged to at­tend. Bring a blan­ket or chairs.
