Cambridge to host free Family Movie Night
CAMBRIDGE — On Friday, May 4, the city of Cambridge will host its fourth free Family Movie Night at the Sailwinds Park Amphitheater, featuring the Academy Award-winning animated film “Coco.”
The show will start at about 8:15 p.m. Popcorn and drinks will be provided, while supplies last.
“‘Coco’ is such a great movie, and we’re confident everyone in the family will enjoy it,” said Brandon Hesson, the associate director of economic development for Cambridge. “The free movie nights have always been well attended, and it’s good to see the entire community getting together to enjoy family-oriented fun.”
Despite his family’s generations-old ban on music, young Miguel dreams of becoming an accomplished musician like his idol Ernesto de la Cruz. Desperate to prove his talent, Miguel finds himself in the stunning and colorful Land of the Dead. After meeting a charming trickster named Héctor, the two new friends embark on an extraordinary journey to unlock the real story behind Miguel’s family history.
“Coco” is family-friendly, and everyone is encouraged to attend. Bring a blanket or chairs.
