Robert L. Walters
CENTREVILLE — Robert Lee Walters of Centreville, Md., passed away peacefully at Corsica Hills Nursing Home in Centreville. He was 63.
Mr. Walters was born in Chestertown, Md., on Feb. 27, 1955; he was the son of the late Louise E. and Orrie G. Walters of Centreville.
He attended Queen Anne’s County School in Centreville. He worked on his parent’s farm for many years and then went on to be a jack of all trades. Mr. Walters did masonry work, landscaping and tree climbing, but his true love was carpentry, which he was extremely good at.
He was a member of several pool leagues and often
shot pool at two of his favorite places, Jeff Davis Post 18 American Legion and Corsica Light House Pub, both in Centreville.
Robert had a carefree spirit and would always help anyone in need without hesitation, even if it left his own pockets empty. He could be seen walking the streets of Centreville with his larger-than-life smile and his trademark red bandana around his head. He always lived life to its fullest and never hesitated to make a new memory.
Mr. Walters is survived by a sister, Loretta Wiltbank of Chestertown, Md.; a sister-in-law, Deborah Walters of Henderson, Md.; four children, Robbie Walters of Chestertown, Md., Sunshine Walters of
Ruthsburg, Md., Kyle Ours of Moorefield, W.Va., and Summer Walters of Knox, Pa.; seven grandchildren, Kelsey Walters of Chestertown, Md., Brianna and Hailey Walters of Still Pond, Md., Richard McGinn and Kyleigh Lindner of Ruthsburg, Md., and Tanner and Warren Ours of Moorefield, W.Va. He has several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louise and Orrie (Pete) Walters of Centreville; and his brother, Michael (Butch) Walters of Henderson, Md.
Memorial service will be at the American Legion in Centreville on Nov. 17, from 1 to 3 p.m.
