Pre­ston Ford aims for Top 50 Deal­er­ship

HUR­LOCK — Af­ter 10 years, Pre­ston Ford has an­nounced it will no longer make a run at the Top 100 Ford deal­er­ships in the coun­try. In­stead, it is aim­ing to be among the Top 50.

Pre­ston Ford ended 2017 as the 52nd best sell­ing Ford deal­er­ship in Ford Mo­tor Com­pany’s Top 100, which in­cludes 3,300 Ford deal­ers. This feat was ac­com­plished by out-sell­ing many of those deal­ers that are lo­cated all across the coun­try.

For 2018, Pre­ston Ford is aim­ing to go be­yond that rank with its Top 50 Sales Drive and end the year among the best 50 Ford deal­er­ships. To achieve this, Pre­ston Ford will have to go up against deal­er­ships in Michi­gan, Texas, Cal­i­for­nia and other states with towns that have much higher pop­u­la­tions than the ar­eas Pre­ston Ford serves. How­ever, Pre­ston Ford Vice Pres­i­dent and Chief Op­er­at­ing Of­fi­cer David Wil­son Jr. is con­fi­dent in the deal­er­ship and in its ded­i­cated team.

“Over the last 10 years, our team here at Pre­ston Ford has pulled to­gether to make sure that we have been in the Top 100, and last year’s ex­cel­lent fin­ish is just the be­gin­ning of what we can do,” Wil­son said. “We can’t wait to show you the love you de­serve.”

Pre­ston Ford also an­nounced it plans to fin­ish as the top Ford deal­er­ship in Mary­land, the top Ford deal­er­ship — out of more than 115 oth­ers — in the Wash­ing­ton re­gion for 2018, along with 10th in the na­tion for sales dur­ing De­cem­ber.

Chris Marks, vice pres­i­dent and op­er­a­tions di­rec­tor, thinks its new, sta­teof-the-art deal­er­ship, its de­part­ments of highly trained and ex­pert staff mem­bers and Pre­ston Ford’s over­all com­mit­ment to ex­cel­lent cus­tomer ser­vice will give the deal­er­ship an edge over its com­peti­tors.

“I was the gen­eral man­ager of the Pre­ston Ford store for the last seven years and have got­ten to par­tic­i­pate in and help lead this amaz­ing team to bet­ter num­bers year af­ter year,” Marks said. “I can’t wait to see where they end up this year and know that you will find me work­ing right along­side of them in De­cem­ber.”

To re­al­ize these goals, Pre­ston Ford will be hold­ing its Top 50 Sales Drive up un­til the end of De­cem­ber. It en­cour­ages its cus­tomers to visit and browse its in­ven­tory of Ford cars, trucks and SUV mod­els, and find the right Ford for their lives at a price that they can af­ford. The staff of Pre­ston Ford cel­e­brate fin­ish­ing 2017 as the 52th best Ford deal­er­ship out of about 3,300 in the coun­try, its best over­all fin­ish and sev­enth time in the past eight years in the Top 100. The deal­er­ship is aim­ing to break into Ford’s Top 50 for 2018.
