This year’s Jingle Ball in Tampa brings back names that ring a bell.

This year’s 93.3-FLZ Jingle Ball brings back a JoBro, a One Direction star, Fifth Harmony’s ex-member and DJ Zedd.

Merry early Christmas, everyone. The lineup for the 2017 93.3-FLZ Jingle Ball is here. DJ and producer Zedd and a couple of boyband dreamboats gone solo — the Jonas Brothers’ Nick Jonas and One Direction’s Liam Payne — lead the lineup for this year’s Jingle Ball, Dec. 16 at Tampa’s Amalie Arena.

Also on the bill: Ex-Fifth Harmony singer Camila Cabello, Girl Meets World’s Sabrina Carpenter, singer-songwriter Charlie Puth, pop-rock group All Time Low and viral boy band Why Don’t We. More acts will be added in the coming weeks.

Pre-sale tickets are on sale now for Capital One cardholders; otherwise they’ll go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Monday. Seats start at $26.

In a lot of ways, this year’s lineup does continue the Jingle Balls’ unfortunate trend toward sameness and ubiquity — not just from city to city, but in each individual market, too. This will be the fourth Tampa Jingle Ball for Cabello (two with Fifth Harmony, two solo); the third for Zedd and Jonas; the second for Puth. (Also, do yourself a favor and don’t look at all the headliners playing Jingle Balls in other cities but not Tampa — Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Demi Lovato, Sam Smith, Kelly Clarkson and the Chainsmokers, among others.)

Still, never underestimate the rabid fan bases of One Direction, Fifth Harmony and the Jonas Brothers. Payne isn’t the first 1D star to announce a solo show in Tampa — that would be Niall Horan — but he will be the first to play here, since Horan’s not coming until September 2018.

One more year-end show item to note: 93.3’s iHeart sister station, Mix 100.7, will not be staging its annual Mistletoe Show this year. Over the past few years, the Mistletoe Show has brought acts like Train, Rob Thomas, Third Eye Blind and the Fray to Ruth Eckerd Hall and the Mahaffey Theater. Not this year, though.
