He’s in the center
As a life-long progressive, I do not consider Democratic gubernatorial candidate Chris King’s call for reduction in mass incarceration, elimination of the death penalty and legalization of marijuana “left of center.” The problem is that for the past decade or so Republicans have moved to the far right — so far right and reactionary that we label candidates like
Chris King as a minority fringe. He is a centrist. He is in the majority.
