Recent snook catches have found the fish are on the move. Summer is approaching and the fish are making their way to the spawning grounds (passes). Many of them have been in shallow water between the spawning spots and the spring spots. On the incoming tide, the fish have been in sand holes with barley enough water for most bay boats to access. Knowledge of the area is a must if you’re going to try and access these spots or you might find yourself high and dry waiting on water. Big trout have been in the mix while catching snook. Many pushing the 25-inch mark. Tarpon have been the hot bite in the southern part of the bay. Crabs for bait on the outgoing tide in the afternoon have been the top choice of the silver king.
