JOE WILEY

Joe Bailey Wiley, 92, of Atlanta, Texas, died Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2016, at his home.

Mr. Wiley was born June 2, 1924, in Douglassville, Texas. He was a retired construction superintendent with Brown and Root Construction, a deacon and member of Douglassville Baptist Church and an Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Wiley; and one granddaughter, Carey Raines.

Survivors include three sons, Joey Wiley, Steve Wiley and Kevin Wiley of Atlanta; four daughters, Sandra Pilgreen, Joanne Raines and Kathy Atkins of Atlanta, and Pam Simko of Longview, Texas; one brother, Donnie Wiley; four sisters, Mary Burleson, Barbara Turner, Linda Powell, and Deana Pate; 17 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 2 p.m. today at Chapelwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronnie Raines officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
