Lois Brazile May, 85, of Texarkana, Texas, died Wed­nes­day, Feb. 15, 2017, in a lo­cal hospice.

Mrs. May was born Aug. 1, 1931 in Gar­land, Ark. She was fo rme r ly em­ployed with Nash Gro­cery Store, Nash, Texas, a home­maker, and a mem­ber of Buchanan First Bap­tist Church. She was pre­ceded in death by two hus­bands, Clarence Brazile and Mer­rell May; one son, Buddy Brazile; and one grand­daugh­ter, Tammy Boyd­ston.

Sur­vivors in­clude one son, the Rev. Don­ald Brazile; seven daugh­ters, Tom­mie Grif­fith, Brenda Boyd­ston, Kathy Welsh, Bar­bara Sto­vall, Judy Fos­ter, Linda Cham­bers and Pam Bailes; two sis­ters, Lil­lie Wil­son and Sarah Pos­ton; 23 grand­chil­dren; 58 great-grand­chil­dren; four great-great-grand­chil­dren; and a num­ber of other rel­a­tives.

Pri­vate grave­side ser­vices will be in Chapel­wood Me­mo­rial Gar­dens with David Brockus and Ray Wil­liams officiating. Burial is un­der di­rec­tion of Chapel­wood Fu­neral Home.

Vis­i­ta­tion will be 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Satur­day at the fu­neral home.
