Texarkana College offers classes for Continuing Education

Texarkana College is offering the following classes through the Community and Business Education Center, formerly known as the Continuing Education Department:

Barbell Butterfly—Spring Into Nutrition: The four-week class meets from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursdays, March 2-23. The cost is $75.

Jr. Chef—Cooking Adventures for Kids (ages 9-12): The four-week class meets from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays, March 21-April 11. The cost is $80.

Advanced Photography: The four-week class meets from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays, March 21- April 11. The cost is $75.

QuickBooks: The six-week class meets from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesdays, March 21- April 25. The cost is $140.

Microsoft Excel: The fourweek class meets from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursdays, March 23-April 13. The cost is $100.

Getting to Know Your iPhone: The two-week class meets from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays March 20 and 27. The cost is $45.

Get the Most out of Your iPad: The Two-week class meets from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays March 22 and 29. The cost is $40.

Basic Drone Training: The one-day class meets from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, March 25. The cost is $35.

Introduction to Sign Language: The eight-week class meets from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, March 28-May 18. The cost is $70.

UKE Can Do More— Beginning Ukulele 2: The six- week class meets from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays, March 21-April 25|. The cost is $25.

Adult Swim: The three- week class meets from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, March 20-April 5. The cost is $75.

Swim School: The two-week class meets Monday through Thursday, March 20-30. Levels 1-2 meet from 4 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. and Levels 3-6 meet from 4:45 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The cost is $65.

Beginning Tennis: The fourweek class meets from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. or 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, March 6-29. The cost is $80.

Zumba: The six-week class meets from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, March 21-April 27. The cost is $50.

Ballroom Dancing: The four-week class meets from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesdays, March 21- April 11. The cost is $40.

Gymnastics—Acro (ages 6 and older): The six-week class meets from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m Thursdays, March 23-April 27. The cost is $60.

Gymnastics—Tiny Tumblers (ages 3-5): The sixweek class meets from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m Thursdays, March 23-April 27. The cost is $60.

Bill Moran School of Bladesmithing—Hand Forged Knife: This course is designed for anyone interested in learning to forge knives. Emphasis will be on the Brute-De-Forge style blade. In-hand forging shaping, grinding, heat treating and hand finishing will be covered. A certified ABS bladesmith will teach this hands-on course. All materials will be furnished, and students should leave with a finished Brute De Forge-style knife.

Those interested in attending may select the dates they wish to attend. The class will be offered at Old Washington State Park from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays March 11-12, April 1-2, May 6-7 or June 3-4. The cost is $480.

EKG Technician Course: The eight-week class will be held from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, March 20-May 8. The cost is $1,065.

Medical Administrative Assistant WA Externship: The eight-week class meets from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, March 20-May 8. The cost is $1,265.

Pharmacy Technician Course WA Clinical Externship: The 12-week class meets from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, March 6-May 31. The cost is $1,450.
